Classic MIDIWorks response to COVID-19

Tuesday March 24, 2020

Per government orders, for the health and safety of everybody, many businesses in Ontario are closing effective Tuesday night. This closure does not include manufacturing, e-commerce, and shipping companies, so Classic MIDIWorks is still open. We have a good supply of keyboards and pedalboards in stock, so any disruptions in the supply chain for these items, will not effect us.

Cantorum Keyboards are in a US warehouse, ready to ship when we receive your order

Consoles and keycheeks/music racks supplied from our US supplier are on temporary hold as the plant is closed, but we will still take orders without charging your credit card, if you choose the "Pay Upon Quote option at checkout. This will maintain your priority in line when production resumes.

Our offices and shop in Markham is now closed to the public. You will not be allowed to come by to pick up any products or try out the Hauptwerk system we have here.

We are practicing social distancing on site, and in most situations there is even a physical barrier between employees. We have disinfecting cleaners and are using them.

We hope you and your family remain safe and healthy during this stressful time, and encourage you to keep in mind mental health as well as physical health. Heed the recommendations of public health professionals, and don't believe everything you read on Twitter.

ORGANTEQ - New generation of physically modelled pipe organs

Organteq is a physically modelled pipe organ which you can install on your computer (PC/Mac). It can be used both in standalone mode and as a 64-bit instrument plug-in in VST and AudioUnits hosts.

The sound is generated in real time from scratch, reproducing the typical and variable pipe attack transients "chiff" as well as the 3D configuration, where pipes are located in space according to their keyboards. Even the action noises from keys, stops and couplers are modelled. All this makes the instrument livelier than sample based variants, bringing more realistic variability in attack and sustain.

How Does MIDIWorks Come Into Play?

We here at MIDIWorks provide quality MIDI Hardware created specifically to work alongside Virtual Pipe Organ software like Organteq. Whether you decide to build your own system from scratch, buy an entire system from us, or MIDI-fy an existing organ, we can provide you the correct hardware. Virtual Pipe Organs do have a learning curve in order for you to be able to learn to configure and play it, but our team of knowledgeable staff is there to help you along the way. Our goal is to get you playing as soon as possible, regardless if you are tech-savvy or not.

You can learn more about the general hardware we offer by clicking here. If you would like to view our products in greater detail, we invite you to visit our store.
